If you want to see an international law expert, look no further than Sevin Baguirov. She is not just an acknowledged human rights policy specialist, but she also has an impressive education. It’s not everyone who is able to earn a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics, attending on a full scholarship, but did that one better, earning another full scholarship to move on to Edinburgh Law School to earn an LLM degree. It gets better, though; while at ELS, Sevin Baguirov also was awarded the TB Smith Prize for most distinguished scholar, along with the WA Wilson Prize, which she received for her research in the burgeoning field of international criminal law.
That is not to say that Sevin Baguirov is only academically gifted; she also has a remarkable amount of experience, with more than a decade of solid experience in the policy-making sector, including copious amounts of research and writing for a number of prominent think tanks. Among those has been the Center for Eurasian Studies, where she was a Human Rights Specialist.
At pretty much the same point in her illustrious career, Sevin Baguirov did a lot of work with peer-reviewed Journal of International Crimes and History, as their Managing Editor.
